Pirates Host 2019 Home Run 5K/10K

If running’s your thing, this is right up your alley (or…street, trail, whatever).

On Saturday, we hosted the Pittsburgh Pirates Home Run 5K/10K, presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Allegheny Health Network outside PNC Park. Over 3,200 runners descended upon the North Shore for a morning run to help raise funds for Pirates Charities.

This is always a fun morning with Pirates fans running the North Shore and finishing the race with a lap around the warning track at PNC Park.

All participants (runners and walkers) received a specially designed commemorative Pittsburgh Pirates Home Run medal after they crossed the finish line.

Everyone was invited to a post-race party on Federal Street immediately following the event that features complimentary food and beverages (There were donuts!).

Anyway, thanks so much to everyone who came out to help us raise funds for Pirates Charities and the nonprofits they support. If you didn’t join us on Saturday, make plans to join us next year!
